Street Casual

This was such a fun shoot that I did with my photographer (Segun of SNVROY). Since this look is so casual, I decided to go for an urban setting.  Segun and I brainstormed for places with lots of  buildings and we decided downtown was obviously the ‘urbanest’ place to go, so we ended up at the downtown market.

The downtown market is truly beautiful, it is one of those places where I believe people with a ‘travelers heart’ would love to check out. It has lots of exciting stalls with great fresh foods for awesome prices ( a foodie’s dream) and it has a greenhouse! (which I think is particularly cool). Once we were downtown, I remembered the red brick roads by the downtown market and all thoughts of high rise buildings and one-way streets filled with cars left me, and all I could think about was I definitely want pictures here!

Funny Story about the vest: while we were downtown, the temperature dropped (classic Michigan style) and I didn’t have my coat with me (eye rolls) well Segun being the gentleman that he is offered me his vest. To be honest, I was a bit skeptical about wearing it cause I thought it would be too big for me plus I didn’t want it to change the style of my outfit. But when I tried it on, I was completely happy with how the jacket completed the look rather than changed it.

When I was putting the ensemble together, I wanted a look that could be worn to go on errands like grocery shopping etc. on a not so cold day. It is warm, stylish and not to mention very comfortable!

I hope I inspired some of you with this look and remember the purpose of looking at bloggers is not to get their exact look, but to draw inspiration from them to put together a look that suits your own body type and style!

Thank You
