Lady in Color

“Color! What a deep and mysterious language. The language of dreams”- Paul Gauguin

It had always been a fantasy of mine to take pictures with an amazing backdrop like the one the national harbor provides (like something out of a movie), dressed like a lady, and you know, just strutting away. I was so glad that I was able to make this fantasy a reality and also do it in the company of my best friends!

I love the details on the skirt. From the colors to the pattern, and the general cut and design of the skirt. It all comes together so beautifully and I felt really pretty in it. Pairing the skirt with this denim number was a decision I’m glad I made. The shirt adds structure and character to the skirt. I love that the denim shirt isn’t plain; it has gold studs shoulders which allow for minimal jewelry.

My makeup was also a reflection of my skirt. I don’t think it’s a look that I would ordinarily wear but for this outfit, in this place, I was like yuhh!!!

Hopefully, this look inspires more people to embrace colors and to dream big dreams!
