My Trip with Tambollo: Lekki Conservation Center & Atican Beach

This past Saturday (April 22nd), I went with Tambollo (a startup travel org) to Lekki Conservation Centre and Atican Beach. It was a really fun day, I met a lot of amazing people and made a few new friends. The trip was pretty organized, there were mainland and island pickup points so getting everyone together was not an issue. The only problem I would say we had was keeping to time and as we all know in true Nigerian fashion, people never show up early lol!

PS: we were also provided with a packing list just in case you are one of those people who has no clue what to wear or pack on such occasions.

Lekki conservation was such a great time! We went on a tour of the conservation center and then went on the canopy walk. The canopy walk was one of the scariest things that I’ve ever done in my life, even though I have walked on worse  **insert Ghana: Kakum  *coughs lol but it was extremely exciting regardless, I took a few pictures there, and even managed to have a few laughs while I was 22.5 meters above the ground, Ha! Once we got down we took what felt like the longest walk of my life back into civilization (as we were in the nature preserve) and then headed to Atican beach

Atican beach was pretty exciting, everyone got to really bond with each other. We rode horses (btw there are no pictures of me on a horse because I was literally thrown onto one by the horseman as he sped away with me on it screaming for my dear life *not cute*), played fun games; balloon game, concentration game, the lemon game, and water fights. At the end of the day, we all sat by the fire to chill as music played in the background.

We headed back to the pickup points at about 8:30 pm and I didn’t end up getting home until 10 pm. I had such an amazing time visiting these places with Tambollo. If you ever need to plan a trip or you need to make friends, Tambollo is definitely the one for you. You’ll meet new people, and you don’t even have to worry about food! Cause it’s part of what you pay for (and trust me, the food… lit)
